That’s it. There is and will not be a “worst of times” counterpart. This past year and a half has been the best of my life and I am absolutely confident it is only going to get better. Kevin (my spouse-to-be) proposed to me in March of 2010 and I made a promise to myself that I would not let the year of wedding planning consume my life or become more of a burden than thrill. When it is all said and done, the memories of the process as well as the wedding day itself, will be what I look back on and I want those memories to bring a smile to my face. I am happy to say that thus far I have managed to keep these promises. Of course there are stressful situations and plenty of bumps in the road, but when a bride is armed, yes, armed, these girls are legit, with a team of bridesmaids and the support system that I am been lucky enough to have, perfect is the only option. They are amazing.
I have had a rollercoaster of emotions along this journey and I almost feel like I have short-changed myself in not documenting them to look back on later. I realized as much as I do not miss being in school, I do, at times, miss writing. I am not an expert writer by any means, however, I do like to write. It can be enjoyable and I that is my hope with this blog. I want people to comment but also to disagree, debate, have fun, and tell me things.
